CST 2006-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd 6" Lift

CST now offers two different 4" Lift Spindles for the 2006-2008 Ram 1500 2wd trucks. The only difference is the material type used to produce them. The CSS-D1-1 Spindles are Fabricated in the USA using 1018 Sheet Steel and are stronger than the OEM parts they replace. The CSS-D1-5 Spindles are also built in the USA but are Cast Iron and slightly less expensive than the Fabricated Steel Version. Both of CST's 4" Lift spindles provide a major increase in ground clearance that gives the 2wd Ram 1500 more ground clearance than a same height lifted Ram 1500 4x4! This kit has been installed, tested, and has successfully held an alignment with no installation or alignment issues typically found in some other lesser quality kits now on the market. Customers are pleasantly surprised when they learn the truck as good or even better than stock after it has been lifted. Please note that this kit does NOT include a new upper control arm. An upper control arm is not required when installing this suspension system.

Ordering Information
This CST 6" suspension lift kit includes a pair of CST 4" Lift Spindles, a pair of CST 2" Lift Coil Spring Spacers, Extended Front Brake Hoses, CST 2", 3" or 4" Rear Block Kit, and a CST Extended Length U-bolt Kit. Front and Rear Shock Absorbers are not included but are available for purchase separately. Most customers install a 3" Rear Block and U-Bolt Kit to achieve a level stance when raising the front 6" inches over stock height. In most cases the 4" Lift Rear Block will give the truck a very slight rear high stance. We suggest you measure and eyeball the difference between front and rear height (on level ground) and use that to help you select the correct block kit. Some customers ask why is the rear only lifted 3 or 4 inches when the front is being lifted 6 inches? Simple, the Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks come from the factory with the front end MUCH lower than the rear. Raising the front more than the rear will help level the truck giving it what most owners agree is a much better look. To ensure you purchase a complete and ready to install 6" lift kit you must select your desired rear lift block height and the type of shock absorbers you want using the selection boxes located above this item description.

Tire & Wheel Info:
This lift is not designed for use with stock 17" wheel and larger than stock tires. Factory 20" wheels can be used but tire width must not exceed 12" inches or 305mm. The CST 6" Lift Kit is designed to run up to a 34" or metric equivalent diameter tire when mounted on an 8" to 9" wide wheel. If running 17" diameter wheels the back space should not exceed 5.00" inches! When running larger diameter wheels the back space tolerance does allow for wheels with more than 5.00" inches of back space to be used. Please read this!
Due to the changes in the design of the 2006-2008 Ram 1500 2wd suspension this CST 6" lift requires the installation of an extended length front brake hose. These braided stainless steel hoses are included with this lift. This is why the CST 6" lift for the 2006-2008 Ram 1500 2wd is more expensive than the 6" lift for the 2002-2005 model year trucks. The front shock absorber on the Ram 1500 acts as a suspension limiter and running a shock that is considerably longer in the extended length than the stock shock could allow the upper control arm to make contact with the top of the frame. For this reason CST highly recommends the use of their CSR Series Performance shock absorbers (or shocks with an equivalent length) with their CST 6" suspension lift kit. The CST shocks have the correct length for use with the CST lift. CST shocks have a powder coated Silver finish and include a Black boot, very similar in construction and design to a Bilstein 5100. The Rancho RS5000 has a White shock body and the Rancho RS9000XL has a Silver Metallic powder coat finish. The Bilstein 5100 series shock has a machined Silver finish and a Black boot.
