The fabricated Camburg 3.5" Lift Spindle is welded together from plate steel and is MUCH stronger than the cast iron Fabtech spindle. If you are going to abuse your truck off-road you need all the strength you can get. The Camburg 110008 Suspension System also includes a new Uni-Ball equipped Upper Control Arm. This Camburg upper arm increases the useable wheel travel to achieve around 8 inches. Even more important is the Camburg arm replaces the weak upper ball-joint used in the factory Ford arms. The Camburg upper arm uses a massive 1" mono-ball (aka uni-balls or spherical bearings) that won't require frequent replacement like the factory upper ball-joint does. Now you can stop worrying about worn out ball-joints when the road starts getting rough or your right foot gets a little too heavy. Camburg also includes a pair of limiting strap with this system that reduces the stress placed on steering and suspension components. The limit straps help prevent premature part wear and breakage but they do require welding to install them. Bilstein 5100 series front shock absorbers are pretty much the best bolt-on shock you can get for the money and are MUCH better than any Fabtech or Rancho 5000 type shock. And that's why Camburg includes a pair in their suspension system. This is not a cheap kit but you are getting what you pay for!

This new Camburg Ford Ranger Edge Performance off-road system will yield up to 8" of wheel travel and up to 6" inches of lift. The Camburg spindles will add 3.5" true inches of lift and with a torsion bar crank you can gain additional lift. Because this kit utilizes new upper control arms the torsion adjustment does affect the ride quality as much as it does on a stock truck. To top off this awesome off-road performance system Camburg has designed an optional Dual Front Shock Mounting System. The Camburg Dual Shock System is designed to run a pair of Bilstein 5100 series shock absorbers and will allow approximately 10" inches of wheel travel. Camburg understands that having lots of wheel travel is useless if its not good, clean, well controlled wheel travel. If you plan on taking your 2wd Ranger Edge out in the dirt you really need the additional off-road performance that running two Bilstein 5100 series shocks at each front wheel can provide.
This kit fits ONLY the 2wd Ranger Edge or Sport Models built on the Torsion Bar Equipped IFS chassis! With 3.5 inches of lift a 32" tire clears with very minimal trimming possibly being required. With a slight torsion bar adjustment (5 to 6 inches of total lift) you can run up to 33" diameter tire with some light rubbing at full compression possible. If you want to run a 33x12.5R15 tire and still pound on the truck in the dirt you will need fiberglass front fenders. This kit increases track width 1.5 inches per side. The dual shock kit requires welding to install and must be performed by a professional (competent) welder. Rear lift is NOT included with this kit.
