PerformanceLifts.com 1-2" Lift Torsion Index Keys - Genuine GM Parts! These torsion lift re-indexing keys are designed for use on all 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 2wd and 4wd 1500HD and 2500HD series trucks and SUVs built using the torsion bar front suspension. This includes the 1500HD truck, 2500HD truck, 3500 series truck, and Suburban 2500 and Avalanche 2500 models only! These torsion lift keys will provide between 1 and 2 inches of additional lift on a stock truck (depending on setting) and do so without the chance of stripping out the stock adjusting bolt. A question that many 4wd owners often ask is wont these keys ruin my 4wd driveline? - The simple answer is no. All of the suspension lift kits made by RCD, Rancho, and some new Fabtech kits use a replacement lift knuckle (aka spindle) that increases the operating angles of the front CVs the same amount as a torsion key lift. These suspension lift kits are well respected and have proven to be extremely reliable and are popular with customers. Vehicles with over 100,000 miles have reported no failures due to the slight increase in CV joint operating angle. PLC believes that the small increase in driveline angle is not enough to cause concern among 4wd owners, however a slight increase in CV boot wear is possible and should be watched. For the 2wd owners this is an EXCELLENT no-brainer upgrade that will help to level out a stock truck or SUV and can also be used to provide an additional 1-2 inches of lift to an existing lift kit. These keys work very well to help level the new GM trucks and SUVs that arrive from the factory with a noticeable front to rear rake. New shocks are not mandatory however PerformanceLifts.com suggests the installation of a slightly longer and more performance oriented shock absorber. For this reason, PerformanceLifts.com offers the CST Performance Suspension CSR series replacement shocks for use with these torsion lift keys. For customers that are also raising the rear of their truck or SUV we offer longer than stock replacement rear shocks too. Please Note: PerformanceLifts.com strongly recommends getting the vehicle re-aligned after installing these torsion lift keys - failure to do so may lead to premature tire wear and poor handling. The $74.95 price is for a pair of torsion keys - enough to lift the front of one vehicle. These keys CANNOT be added to existing 4x4 suspension lifts made by RANCHO - RCD or FABTECH! These keys will not fit ANY 1500 series standard duty GM trucks or SUVs! If you are looking for an inexpensive way to lift the rear of your truck PerformanceLifts offers rear block kits available separately below.
