This Bilstein F4-BE5-C298-H1 shock absorber has an ingeniously simple coil seat system that allows you to adjust the front ride height of your 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008 Ford F150 4x4. This item is designed specifically for the 4wd models and is not for use on 2wd trucks. This item does NOT fit 2004 Heritage models! By moving a heavy duty snap ring up or down the machined shock body you can increase or decrease the spring pre-load, thereby providing more or less lift. With 2.00" inches of lift you can clear up to a 305/70/17 or 305/65/18 series tire on the factory Ford wheel. Other tire and wheel combinations may also work. Aftermarket wheels and larger than stock tire sizes may require trimming to clear, please verify correct fitment before purchase to eliminate any surprises. This shock is your absolute best bang-for-the-buck leveling kit option for the F150. The best part, you can get rid of the crummy factory shock and replace it with the well respected Bilstein 5100 series shock. The Bilstein BE5-C298-H1 will provide a better on and off-road ride, an increase in height that you can adjust, so no matter how you look at it this is a win-win situation.
