Dodge 02-05 Fullsize 2wd Lifts : CST 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 3" Suspension Lift
CST 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 3" Suspension Lift
These CST 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd 3" lift springs can be used to help level the vehicle. This is a very straightforward and basic coil spring leveling system for the Dodge Ram 1500 2wd truck. This item includes a pair of 3" lift coil springs that are engine and cab specific. Please note, this item will NOT provide 3" of lift on trucks equipped with the heavier 5.7L V8 Hemi engine! To complete the leveling kit new front shocks are offered and PerformanceLifts.com highly recommends the Rancho 9000X shock absorber for use on the 2wd Ram 1500 model. This is because the 3" lift coil springs require more rebound shock valving than a truck with stock coil springs. The RS9000XL Series shock absorbers allow the customer to adjust the shock settings to his or her preference.

Please note, the front shock absorber on the 2wd Dodge Ram 1500 is what limits the amount of front suspension travel. The engineers designed the Ram this way and it's wise to not alter the shock length on this vehicle. If you replace the factory front shock with one that is longer at full extension you can cause damage to the front suspension. By over-extending the front suspension the upper control arm ball-joint can bind and eventually wear out. The other problem is if the front suspension travels too far the upper control arm will knock against the top of the frame causing a clunk or clank to be heard while driving. For these reasons PerformanceLifts.com ONLY sells stock length shock absorbers for use with the CST 3" leveling coil springs! Thats right, the shocks we sell for use with these 3" lift CST coil springs is a STOCK LENGTH replacment shock!

This leveling lift kit is excellent for customers looking to get rid of the factory tail high raked look and will level most Ram trucks. These 3" lift springs are an ideal solution for customers that want to retain their stock wheels and tires. With this kit a 33" tire will fit when mounted on stock wheels. For customers wanting to run larger than 33" tires we suggest either the CST 4" spindle lift or the Fabtech 6" kits found elsewhere on this site. PerformanceLifts.com recommends having a professional install the coil springs and suggests that all customers get the vehicle professionally aligned once the springs are installed.

These springs are for 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd vehicles ONLY and are not designed for use on any 4wd or 2500 or 3500 series Ram truck. For customers that want to lift their truck and retain the factory stance, which means the rear will sit higher than the front, a rear block kit is also available for purchase separately. Please note these springs are engine and cab specific, so please be sure to select the correct springs for your application.
