This CST Performance Suspension kit is listed as a 9-11" lift kit because with the addition of torsion lift keys you can adjust the height up to the full 11" of lift. Built in Riverside, California, this is an all American product built by American workers! The CST 9-11" kit provides 9 inches of lift using a 9" drop down one-piece welded subframe. This is good for a few reasons.... It means if your truck is a 4x4 the CV angles remain well within factory tolerances and this reduces the likelyhood of premature CV joint wear or failure. It also keeps the steering geometry as close to stock as possible. General Motors engineers spent considerable time designing the steering system on your truck, and for good reason. CST understands this and tries very hard to maintain factory steering geometry. This ensures your truck will drive and handle as the engineers designed it to. In other words, when you turn the steering wheel the truck will actually turn. A few "other" kits on the market handle like junk, just ask their owners! The CST 9-11" kit does NOT require a new steering knuckle or CV spacer like other kits and this means reduced CV wear and differential damage. Even better, the CST kit does not drastically widen the front of the vehicle like other kits do. A narrower front track width means less wear and tear on steering and suspension related components and the ability to run larger tire and wheel combos! The CST 9-11" 2500HD and 3500 SRW kit does require some cutting but only on the back side of the driverside lower control arm mount. The CST kit includes the now famous CST 1-piece welded subrame along with strut bar supports that increase strength and really lock the suspension into the frame. Supported upper control arm drop mounts, a heim joint equipped steering linkage, and the awesome CST gloss black powder coat make this kit look as good as it performs. This is a 100% complete kit... with your purchase you receive the CST 9-11" subframe lift, CST Uni-ball or Pro-Joint equipped dual shock tubular steel upper control arm kit, CST Dual Shock Hoop Mount kit, Fox Racing 2.0 shock absorbers equipped with reservoirs (4 for the front, 2 for the rear), and a pair of CST 8" lift replacement rear spring packs to raise the rear. The CST spring packs are thin leaf progressive rate springs that provide approximately 8" of lift over stock springs. This is enough to level most trucks that set the front kit to provide 10" of lift. If you adjust the torsion bars up to provide the full 11" of lift from the kit you may want to add a 1" or taller block kit in addition to the rear springs to level the truck front to back. Please note, this package does NOT include a replacement front driveshaft. The CSP-C28-1 Dual-Cardan front driveshaft is highly recommended. Without the replacement front driveshaft you may experience a high speed vibration.
