CST Performance Suspension has finally released their much anticipated Dodge Ram 1500 2wd upper control arm for the 2002-2005 Ram 1500 2wd trucks. If you own a 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 lifted Dodge Ram 1500 and have experienced upper ball-joint wear or failure you know how important this control arm is. If you are a 2wd Ram 1500 owner that's running a 35" or taller tire and haven't experienced ball-joint failure, purchase these arms before you do. It's ugly when it happens. Buy these arms before you learn the hard way that ball-joint failure sucks!This upper control arm kit includes a pair of custom machined CST serviceable ball-joints, CST calls them the "Pro-Joint" The CST Pro-Joint is built from 4130 chromoly and is much, MUCH stronger than the stock joint. The CST upper control arm is built from tubular steel, your stock Dodge upper control arm is built from cast aluminum. The factory Dodge ball-joint is not a serviceable item. When it wears out you must purchase a complete control arm assembly from your friendly Dodge dealer. That can get really expensive fast. The CST CSS-D2-3 control arm kit includes one pair of upper arms and one set of bolt in ball-joints. All hardware necessary to install the control arm kit is included. What you see in the picture is what you get. No more, no less. The CST ball-joint is sandwiched in the CST control arm and places the load on the ball-joint pocket of the arm, not the actual hardware that attaches the ball-joint to the arm. This is important as it creates the strongest possible connection between ball-joint and control arm. New urethane bushings are also included. And to keep the bushings well lubricated, CST includes Zerk fittings that thread into the control arm pivot points. This item will NOT fit 2006+ Ram 1500 trucks due to a change in the arm width. This item fits 2002-2005 model year trucks only!
