By installing this CST 4" spindle a Chevrolet or GMC HD owner can clear up to a 35" tire with minor trimming on the plastic air dam. This item is easily half the price of a subframe kit and provides the necessary lift to clear a good looking tire and wheel combination. Plus, you get excellent ground clearance with this kit! If money is tight this spindle lift has the ability to retain the stock front shocks. Please note that shocks are not included. All shocks are purchased separately and are available from the drop down selection boxes below. If your budget allows, PerformanceLifts.com recommends the stock shocks be replaced when installing the CST spindle lift. The stock shocks are not designed to control the added weight of larger wheels and off-road tires and the ride they provide proves this. A performance shock absorber will considerably improve the handling and ride of a lifted vehicle. PLC recommends the Bilstein 5100 series and Rancho RS9000XL series shock absorbers for use with this lift. Spending a little more money on quality shock absorbers, even on a "street" truck might seem like a waste, but trust us, it's actually money very well spent! A quality shock absorber is the key to achieving a good on and off-road ride quality. Cheap "off-road" shocks aren't the correct choice if pavement ride quality is what you seek! The rear of your Silverado or Sierra HD can be lifted using a simple and reliable block and u-bolt kit. You can select the rear block lift height that will provide the stance you want. Because everyone seems to want something different PerformanceLifts.com offers all sorts of different rear block heights that allow you to achieve the exact look you want! When running the CST CSS-C1-4 Lift Spindles by themselves a 2" rear block kit will level most Silverado or Sierra trucks. If you have already adjusted your torsion bars to help raise the front you may want to consider a 3" rear block. When running a torsion bar adjustment in conjunction with the CST 4" lift spindle you might need a 4" or 5" rear block to achieve a level stance. When lifting the rear of your truck more than 2" inches over stock height you should replace the stock length rear shock absorbers with a longer version matched to the lift height. This California SuperTrucks CSS-C1-4 spindle lift will increase front track width approximately 1 inch per side.

Please Note: 16" or 17" diameter wheels must not have more than 4.625 inches of back space. The larger diameter wheels (20" or greater diameter) can generally have more back space than smaller diameter wheels. Stock GM wheels will NOT work with these CST lift spindles!
