CST Performance Suspension is known for building the finest suspension lift systems that money can buy. In a recent Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road lift kit shootout the CST Silverado 4x4 6-8" lift was voted BEST OVERALL KIT! CST has taken the same winning engineering and construction talent and applied it to their 4.5" spindle lift for the 2wd suspension lifts for 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 2wd pickup trucks. The newer 2007-2010 GM 1500 series trucks are built on an all new chassis and this required CST to start over with a clean slate...Most 2007 and newer model year GM fullsize pickup trucks are factory equipped with General Motors Stabilitrack system. Stabilitrack has made it more difficult to produce a suspension lift kit that does not interfere with the on-board computer systems. There are a number of kits that activate the Stabilitrack system when driving around corners or on off-camber road surfaces. This CST 4.5" suspension lift system DOES NOT HAVE STABILITRACK ISSUES! Ask some other lift kit builder if their kit is 100% compatible and see what they say! CST worked very hard to build this kit and it has two great features that they are rightfully very proud of. During pre-release kit testing CST found that their lift would trigger the Stabilitrack dash warning indicator. Even worse, the anti lock system would kick on causing a vibration in the brake pedal. CST went back to the drawing board and totally redesigned their kit. CST is very confident when they say this kit is one of few that is entirely compatible with the GM Stabilitrack system. CST Extended Front Brake Hoses Additional items recommended to complete this lift system are a rear block lift, extended length U-bolt kit, and rear shock absorbers. These items are NOT included in the CSS-C1-9 part number but are available for purchase using the drop down selection boxes located beneath this item description. As an optional upgrade CST offers their CSR-3100 0-2" lift coilover for the front of the Silverado and Sierra. The addition of the CST coilover to the CST 4.5" lift spindle will allow you to achieve up to 5.5" of lift. The major benefit of the replacement front coilover is the increase in on and off-road handling and suspension performance. CST recommends the use of a 33" tall tire on 8" wide wheels. CST does admit that larger tires may fit but your mileage may vary. Ideally, a 33" tall tire on an 8" wide wheel with 5.00 inches of back space is recommended. Some wheels with 5.50" back space will work with this kit, test fitting is MANDATORY as not all wheels with 5.50" of back space will clear! If you want to run a larger tire we'd suggest performing a test fit before mounting up and installing all four tire/wheel combos.
