This CST Performance Suspension 5" lift kit is designed to fit the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon 2wd pickup trucks. This 5" kit will fit all ZQ8 and Z85 models. It will NOT fit any 4x4 or Z-71 Colorado or Canyon model! The 5" suspension lift kit consists of new CST CSS-C1-7 fabricated 5" lift spindles, extended front brake hoses, and a carrier bearing relocator drop kit. This combination will clear a 285/75R16 or 285/70R17 tire mounted on an 8" wide wheel. This CST kit requires that wheels have no more than 5.00 inches of back space. The ZQ8 Colorado and Canyon sits lower than a standard model. If you have the ZQ8 model you may want to consider the CST 1" billet aluminum coil spring spacer to help get your truck sitting as tall as a Z85 model does. To ensure you receive this spacer, please be sure to select your correct model from the drop down boxes located beneath this item description.CST retains the factory front coilover shock and coil spring with this kit. The majority of lift is provided by the CST lift spindles. This means the front suspension ride quality will be about as close to stock as you can get. This kit rides NICE and it looks GREAT! CST recommends their add-a-leaf spring kit to raise the back of the truck approximately 2" inches (pictured but NOT included). CST Performance Suspension also offers replacement rear leaf springs if ride quality is more important than carrying capacity. To finish up the kit you will need to purchase extended length rear shocks. Replacement front shocks are not required to install the kit. One other option that PerformanceLifts.com strongly suggests, CST rear lift shackles. Most customers agree that the add-a-leaf by itself does not provide enough rear lift to level the truck front to rear. If you like the back of your truck to sit a little lower than the front the add-a-leaf CST recommends for use with their 5" front kit is probably sufficient. If you want the truck to sit level you'll want to purchase the CST lift shackles. Please be sure to select your specific Colorado or Canyon model when placing your order. The Colorado in the picture is equipped with 285/70R17 BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires mounted on 17x8 Walker Evans Racing Wheels. Please note, CST no longer offers this spindle in a casting.
