CST retains the factory torsion bar suspension design and does not drop the rear torsion bar mounts down. This ensures that ground clearance beneath the center of the truck is not reduced. To further protect the front drivetrain, CST includes an aluminum skid plate. The majority of lift is provided by the CST drop subframe. This means the ride quality after the vehicle is lifted will be about as close to stock as you can get. This CST suspension lift rides NICE and it looks GREAT! The CST spindles used with the lift are built by hand out of high quality steel. These are NOT inexpensive cast lift spindles that you might see other manufacturers use. The price might be a little higher than other kits, but CSTs attention to detail and product quality is worth it. CST offers two rear lift options... a rear add-a-leaf or replacement rear leaf springs. The replacement rear leaf spring packs are more expensive but are preferred over the add-a-leaf because the ride quality is better with the replacement springs. To finish up the kit, PerformanceLifts.com offers CST, Fabtech and Fox 2.0 Emulsion series shock absorbers for use with this lift. The Fabtech shocks are the Fabtech 7000 series a white shock body. The CST and Fox shocks are silver.
