This Explorer Pro Comp 5" lift is designed to fit all 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks and provides clearance for 37" tires. This lift kit utilizes a steering linkage system exclusive to Pro Comp. The heart of the system is a unique 4130 adjustable chromoly track bar complete with 3/4 Teflon-lined high strength chromoly rod ends and precision laser cut track bar relocation bracket. This package, paired up with Pro Comp’s adjustable, replacement forged tie rods eliminates toe change and greatly reduces bump steer, which improves tire life and longevity for your lifted vehicle by optimizing front end alignment. Rather than compromising your factory ride with aftermarket coils, cast aluminum spacers raise the front end and are used in conjunction with the factory coil springs to retain factory ride quality. Also included are new heavy duty upper and lower control arms and a forged 4140 heat-treated chromoly pitman arm to lessen the drag link angle. Longer sway bar end links complete the front handling package and allow the stock sway bar to work correctly. The Pro Comp Dodge 2500/3500 4wd system is then finished off with quality parts throughout. Easy to install, billet aluminum blocks replace the “industry standard cast iron solution to lift the rear. Durable performance urethane is used in extended front bump stops and bushings throughout the system. High quality Grade 8 hardware is included and all other parts finished in durable hammertone grey powdercoat or zinc plated. The base version of this kit includes ProComp ES shock absorbers. PerformanceLifts.com suggests upgrading to the ProComp MX6 series shock absorbers. The ProComp MX6 monotube 6-way adjustable shock is unmatched by the competition, is engineered for this application, and gives you the capability of fine tuning your ride to suit your “seat of the pants preference. This upgrade is strongly recommended and we feel is worth the additional expense, even if you never plan on taking your truck off-road! The ProComp EXP56705 and EXP56705MX kits are designed for use with single rear wheel trucks only - this kit will not fit dual rear wheel trucks! This kit will work with all engine and transmission combinations, including the 5.9L and 6.4L Cummins turbo diesel and V-10 gasoline powerplants.
