Fabtech Motorsports part number FTS206. The FTS206 is designed to lift the rear of a 1988-1998 Chevrolet or GMC C1500 truck 1.5 inches. The Fabtech FTS206 add-a-leaf consists of two individual leafs that are added to the existing rear leaf spring packs. One add-a-leaf is installed in each factory spring pack. Installation of the FTS206 requires removal and disassembly of the stock spring pack, adding the Fabtech add-a-leafs to the existing spring pack, and then re-assembling and re-installation of the spring packs. The amount of additional rear lift you will receive will vary. On a stock Chevy or GMC C1500 with no aftermarket accessories the FTS206 will provide approximately 1.5 inches of lift. The FTS206 also does firm up the rear ride by increasing the spring rate. Fabtech Add-a-leaf kits do not however increase the load capacity of a vehicle! This FTS206 Add-A-Leaf kit may help reduce the amount the rear of your truck sags down when towing or hauling a heavy load but they DO NOT INCREASE THE FACTORY SPECIFIED LOAD CAPACITY!
