This Fabtech 6" suspension lift kit is designed to fit all of the 1500 series 1/2 ton 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 2wd & 4wd Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon SUV's. Chevrolet and GMC SUV owners looking to make an already great looking vehicle even better need this lift! Shortly after the release of the Silverado truck line in 1999, General Motors introduced a fully revamped line of 1/2 ton SUV's for 2000. These new 2WD and 4wd SUV's received a torsion bar front suspension with a 4-link coil spring rear suspension for a smooth ride. GM has further enhanced the ride quality of their SUVs by offering two different rear shock options, standard and Load Leveling. To purchase the correct kit for your vehicle you must know which rear suspension your vehicle is equipped with. The standard suspension uses a regular coil spring and shock absorber, the upgraded rear suspensions systems are the load leveling or electronically controlled Auto Ride system. You will need to know which your vehicle has before placing your order! The front suspension lift is accomplished using a one-piece cast drop down steering knuckle that attaches to heavy-duty 1/4" thick steel, high arched lower control arm crossmembers. Solid steel billet sway bar end links with urethane bushings retain the factory front sway bar angle while the stock upper control arms and steering centerlink are retained in the factory position. Rear lift is accomplished using either extended length coil springs, track bar brackets, or a shock relocation mount for the various styles of OE rear shocks. Please Note:
Wider than stock tires cannot be installed on the factory wheels. Fabtech and PerformanceLifts.com both recommend an aftermarket wheel with a maximum backspacing of 4 5/8" be used. This kit is now available only in Fabtech Black. The OEM rear shocks are retained with this kit. This kit includes the following items:
