2wd Fabtech Avalanche 1500 6" Suspension Lift Kit! This awesome Avalanche 6" suspension lift kit by Fabtech is designed for 2wd Avalanche owners looking to to make an already great looking vehicle even more badass! Shortly after the release of the Silverado truck line in 1999, GM introduced a fully revamped line of 2WD 1/2 ton SUVs for 2000. These new 2WD SUVs received a torsion bar front suspension with a 4-link coil spring rear suspension for a smooth ride. GM has further enhanced the ride quality of the Avalanche by offering two different rear shock options, standard and Load Leveling. To purchase the correct rear portion of this kit you must know which type of rear shock your vehicle is equipped with from the factory! The front end lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers. Solid steel billet sway bar end links with urethane bushings retain the factory front sway bar angle while the stock upper control arms and steering centerlink are retained in the factory position. Rear lift is accomplished using extended length coil springs, track bar brackets and shock relocation mounts for the two styles of OE rear shocks. Please Note:
Wider than stock tires cannot be installed on the factory wheels. Fabtech and PerformanceLifts.com both recommend an aftermarket wheel with a maximum backspacing of 4 5/8 inches be used. This kit is available powder coated either in Fabtech Blue or a gloss Black. Please be sure to select the kit color when ordering. The OEM rear shocks are retained with this kit.
