Ford 97-02 Expedition 4wd Lifts : Fabtech 1997-2002 Expedition 6" Suspension Lift
Fabtech 1997-2002 Expedition 6" Suspension Lift
This Fabtech 6" suspension lift is designed to fit all 1997-2002 4wd Ford Expedition SUVs! Since the introduction of Ford’s updated body styles in 1997 with the SLA (Short Long A Arm) suspension, the vehicle has proven itself as a true on and offroad performer. The Fabtech R&D team worked feverishly on the Ford SLA front suspension and came up with a system that enhances an already great performing vehicle. As with other Fabtech SLA (Short Long A Arm) 4WD suspension systems, Fabtech uses their awesome steering knuckle technology with high-arch lower crossmembers to gain the proper altitude. One of the main design objectives of this system was to achieve a true six inches of lift over stock ride height. Fabtech felt that unlike other systems on the market adjusting the torsion bars up was not an option. Fabtech placed the bolt hole location a full six inches lower than stock and designed the rest of the system around this. This true 6" ride height increase allows the use of 315/75R16 tires on 16 x 9 wheels or 315/70R17 tires on 17x9 wheels. Please note, Fabtech recommends wheels have no more than 4-5/8 inches of back space.

The Ford Expedition suspension is a blend of the proven front suspension from the F150 and a newly designed 4 link coil spring rear suspension. This combination provides a very smooth riding suspension with good articulation for offroad use. Fabtech two different rear lift systems which are compatible with the Ford Expeditions rear air bag and standard rear coil spring suspension. Please be sure to select the correct rear kit for your Expedition when placing your order!
