Fabtech 2000-2001 4x4 Dodge Ram 1500 5.5" Lift Kit - When Dodge switched their front suspension from a solid axle/leaf spring design to a four link coil spring configuration they opened the world to a whole new type of performance suspension system. To take advantage of the incredible potential of the Dodge Ram 4 wheel drive, Fabtech has ventured out and created a performance suspension system like no other. Once again upholding the Fabtech tradition. This Fabtech Performance 5.5" suspension lift for the 2000-2001 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks applies race proven technology that benefits you both on and off-road. Fabtech engineers designed a new suspension system using extended link arms, reinforced pivot points, track bar relocation bracket and matched coil springs. The extended link arms do a lot more than just look pretty. These extended link arms reduce caster change and provide a better on and off-road ride and increased wheel travel. Increased wheel travel means a much better performing suspension system, ideal for off-road use. The new pivot point brackets Fabtech designed are stronger than stock and attach using brackets with multiple fastening locations. For maximum strength they also attach to the OEM frame crossmembers. The track bar relocation bracket helps to correct the front axle offset associated with lifting most four link suspensions. Fabtech has designed a highly reinforced track bar relocation bracket that solves the offset problem created when lifting your Ram. Another huge advantage Fabtech has over other kits is the use of matched coil springs. Fabtech knows that one spring cant work for ALL applications. Like most Dodge coil spring applications, the right and left front coil springs are different from side to side. Instead of making one coil spring for both sides, Fabtech stayed with Dodge’s concept and designed a different right and left coil spring. This helps prevent a leaning condition after the lift is installed and proves once again Fabtech has really thought this new kit design through from start to finish. Please note that actual lift height may vary due to variances in vehicle weight, cab length, bed length, accessories, etc. Rear Lift:
The standard rear lift method is a 3" Fabtech FTSBK3 Block and an FTS3400UBK U-bolt kit that is used with a Fabtech FTS207 Add-A-Leaf that provides an additional 1.50" inches of lift. Please Note!
OEM wheels will not work with this kit, you must use wheels with a maximum 4 5/8" backspacing. The front drive shaft may need to be modified and this requires clearancing the yokes to prevent bind. The installation of this kit requires some welding. Fabtech recommends that all welding should be performed by a professional welder. Item Includes:

The Fabtech Dual Shock Kit shown is available as an option and is not included in the base Fabtech 5.5" lift kit package. When ordering the dual shock kit please be sure to also select the Fabtech shocks labeled Fabtech Shocks (set of 6). If your Ram is an Off-Road edition this lift will not increase height by the advertised 5.5" amount. Actual lift on an Off-Road edition Ram is closer to 4" inches.
