This Fabtech FTS424-3BK 3.5" spring hanger and shackle lift is designed to provide the 2001 through 2004 F250 and F350 Super Duty trucks and 2001-2005 Excursion with 3.5 inches of lift. The FTS424-3 works with all engine, transmission, cab and bed configurations. Yes, this kits fits the 5.4L V8, 6.8L V10, and 6.0L and 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel engines! This Fabtech lift kit only works on 4x4 models! With these Fabtech spring hangers and lift shackles you can easily obtain 3.5 inches of front lift without changing the front leaf springs or factory ride quality. The super stout spring hangers replace the factory units and require no welding or cutting to install. The longer than stock shackles help improve ride quality by allowing the springs to flex with less binding. This is a major performance benefit that the older FTS424-1BK kit does not include. This kit does NOT include shock absorbers or any rear lift. These items are purchased separately. PerformanceLifts.com strongly recommends the Bilstein 5100 series shock absorbers for use with this kit. The Fabtech shocks are not as smooth riding as the Bilstein 5100 series and do not have the design or construction quality that Bilstein does. If you want the best shock for your money you cannot beat the Bilstein 5100 series! Fabtech sells this spring hanger and shackle lift without any rear lift included. If you wish to also raise the rear of your Super Duty or Excursion we ask that you please follow these simple steps. Decide how you want your vehicle to look when its lifted. Do you want the vehicle level? Slightly higher in the front? Higher in the rear? The easiest way to calculate how much rear lift you require is to take some measurements of the vehicle as it sits right now. If the front of your Super Duty is currently 2 inches lower than the rear and you want to build a LEVEL truck you will need a 1.5" rear block lift. If you want the truck to have the same stance, just lifted, you'll want the 3" block. Some Powerstroke vehicles are almost 3 inches lower in the front and require very little lift, in this case a 1.0" block can be used. For the prerunner look, no rear lift is required. Most Ford Excursion vehicles sit about 1.0 to 1.5 inches lower in the front and generally require more rear lift to sit level than a Super Duty truck. Most Excursion owners are happy with a 2.0" or 3.0" rear block. We suggest you measure your vehicle to ensure you end up with the look you want. PerformanceLifts.com will select the correct rear shock absorbers and U-bolt kit based on the vehicle and block height you select. All you need to do is select the shocks you want and we'll take care of the rest. For those customers looking to get the front axle precisely located under the vehicle you will want the adjustable track bar. Without the adjustable track bar the front axle will be shifted slightly to one side of the vehicle.
