These FTS98100-7 3" lift spindles are designed for use on the 1998-2000 2wd Ford Ranger trucks only! Fords Ranger, like its larger F-150 sibling, is a rugged and stylish truck in need of an upgraded suspension system. For Ranger owners seeking to maximize their trucks suspension performance that also want to run a larger than stock tire, Fabtech Motorsports offers an effective 3" spindle lift system. This 3" spindle lift system for 2WD Rangers includes a pair of Fabtech FTS98100-7 spindles... and is for use on the 1998-2000 Ranger only! If you have a 2001-2004 Ranger you need the FTS98200-7, available here: http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/FTS98200-7.html -- The 3 lift spindles help maintain a smooth stock like ride and allow for a 31" tire to be used. For owners looking to keep a soft riding rear suspension a 2 block and u-bolt kit is an excellent rear lift method. For those customers that frequently haul or tow a trailer, the 2" lift rear add-a-leaf kit is recommended because it provides addition load capacity. The downside to the add-a-leaf is a slightly firmer ride when unloaded. To put together a complete kit you will need a pair of Fabtech spindles, rear lift blocks OR a rear add-a-leaf, and if the budget allows, new shock absorbers. These items are necessary to complete the kit and are available for purchase below. For those owners that require additional lift to run a larger tire, Fabtech also offers a 5.5" lift that will clear a 32x11.5R15 tire. Fabtech recommends the use of 31x10.50R15 tire mounted on 15x7 wheels with no more than 3.75" inches of back space (may require minor trimming) for use with this 3" spindle lift.
