This Icon 58450 Tubular Steel Upper Control Arm Kit is designed for use on the 2005 through 2011 Tacoma 2wd PreRunner and 4x4 trucks. The 58450 Tubular Steel Upper Arm Kits are new to the ICON Vehicle Dynamics line of products. Icon now offers a less expensive option to their billet Aluminum CNC produced arms. The new Tubular steel arms are available for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 model year Tacoma Trucks built on the 6-lug chassis. This includes the Tacoma PreRunner and Tacoma 4x4 models. Professionally Precision Welded Icon engineered the Tubular Steel UCA's to add strength and correct alignment geometry on stock or lifted vehicle applications. Icon replaces the weak factory ball joint with a 1" diameter Teflon Lined Uniball. To make installation as easy as possible Icon includes a set of their CNC machined 17-4 Stainless Taper Pin Adapters. The taper adapters allow you to get all of the advantages of running a UniBall without having to drill or ream the factory steering knuckle tapers. These arms are a 100% bolt-on installation. The combination of the Icon taper adapters and 1" UniBall helps to increase the upper arms misalignment ability which allows for smooth and clean wheel travel. The OEM ball-joints will limit suspension travel when they bind. By replacing the factory Ball-Joint with a UniBall Icon is able to increase wheel travel, increase on and off-road suspension performance, and improve the ride quality of both stock height and lifted Toyota trucks. When used in conjunction with the ICON 2.5" V.S. Series Performance Coil Overs, these Tubular Uniball arms can add significant gains in wheel travel and on or off road performance. The Icon 58450 control arm kit includes one pair of tubular steel upper control arms, a complete set of urethane pivot bushings and sleeves, and all necessary installation hardware for the UniBall.
