This Daystar Urethane 2.5" lift spring spacer fits 2002-2005 2wd Dodge Ram 1500 Trucks Only! This is a simple urethane coil spring spacer that can be used by itself to help level the new Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks. It can also be used in conjunction with a CST 4" Dodge Ram 1500 lift spindle to increase lift height to approximatey 7" inches (spindles NOT included). These spring spacers will lift the Dodge Ram 1500 2wd approximately 3 inches. Yes, the spacers are less than 3" inches thick. If you understand suspension design (and more importantly geometry) this will make sense. This item includes two Daystar urethane spring spacers, no more and no less. Extended length front shocks are NOT recommended when installing the Daystar lift spacers. The only exception to this is if your factory shocks are worn out or if you are unhappy with the performance of the factory Dodge shock. The stock 2wd Ram 1500 front shock acts as a limiter for the front suspension. Increasing the length of the front shock will allow the front suspension to over-extend and can cause damage to the upper control arm ball-joint. For this reason, PerformanceLifts.com recommends using a factory length shock absorber with the Daystar coil spring spacer. The number one reason to replace the factory shock is performance. An aftermarket shock will perform better both on and off-road. These spacers fit all 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd pickup trucks. We do not recommend the use of these spacers on 2006 or newer Ram trucks due to possible ride quality and assembly issues.
