May 15, 2006 --- This Race-Dezert.com Promotion Has Ended! Own a 1999-2006 2wd Silverado or Sierra pickup truck that's equipped with a coil spring front suspension? Want to give your truck that BIG TRUCK look? The CST 7" suspension lift kit is an excellent way to get your 2wd Silverado 1500 or Sierra 1500 to stand out in the crowd. GMs 2wd Silverado and Sierra took the truck world by storm back in 1999 and CST Performance Suspension was on the leading edge when it came to development of a performance off-road suspension system for GMs 2WD 1/2 ton C1500 series haulers. The CST 7" suspension lift kit has been refined over the years and is still the finest bolt on 7" kit available for 2wd Silverado and Sierra 1500 series trucks. CST Performance Suspensions knowledge of the GM IFS front suspension layout allowed their engineers to create the best suspension system available... the CST Performance Suspension 7" lift system features new tubular upper control arms with new large taper (this means stronger) ball joints, new fabricated sheet steel 4" lift spindles, 3" lift coil springs, a 4" or 5" rear block lift, the required U-bolts, and all fasteners and hardware required to install the kit are included. For a limited time, PerformanceLifts.com is including a set of CST Performance Suspension brand shock absorbers for use with this kit! This is a limited time promotion that saves Race-Dezert.com readers an average of over $200.00! Please be sure to select the proper coilspring for your application. Please note: Wheel backspacing must not exceed 4.5 - stock wheels will NOT work with this kit! People have been asking what exactly is the advantage of the larger taper ball-joint used in the CST kits. The answer is simple... SIZE! The ball-joints used in the CST 2wd Silverado and Sierra lift kits are actually the same ball-joints used in the 1988-1998 2wd trucks. This style ball-joint is larger and are stronger than the newer versions GM is using in its 2wd 1/2 ton trucks. Another major advantage the CST upper arm design has over other manufacturers is the use of a ball-joint mounting pocket. The ball-joint is actually mounted in double shear which greatly INCREASES the strength of the ball-joint mount. CST could save time and money by mounting the ball-joint in single shear but thats not CSTs style. Larger and heavier off-road tires place extra stress on the upper control arm and upper ball-joints and the CST design helps to increase the strength and reliability of this area. The money you spend buying the best the first time might just prevent you from spending considerably more repairing a cheaper kit in the future.
