This SUPERCHIPS part number 1705 is designed to fit the Ford 7.3L Power Stroke diesel equipped F-250, F-350 pickup trucks, E-250 and E-350 vans, along with the Excursion SUV. It features three different tuning options. The TriTune Max MicroTuners allow the end user to custom tailor their desired performance level to the specific driving task at hand. Program the Hi-Performance Tune for some weekend fun and on Monday when its time to pull that load for work, program in the Towsafe Tune. All transmission, rev, and speed limiter settings are optimized and preset by Superchips calibrations. There are NO user adjustable options for tires size or gear changes. These MAX MicroTuners also have Diagnostic Trouble Codes reading capabilities. This item also raises the top speed limiter. TriTune Performance:
This Superchips 1705 has three different user selectable power level settings. The HIGH PERFORMANCE setting provides +110hp and +200 ft/lb over stock. This level is not recommend when towing, hauling or if large tool boxes are installed on the vehicle. No additional modifications to the truck are required. The PERFORMANCE TOWING setting provides +90hp and +175 ft/lb over stock and can be used to tow loads up to 6000 lbs. The TOW SAFE setting provides +70hp and +150 ft/bl over stock and can be used to tow loads up to the vehicle manufacturers specified maximum weight limit. In all cases, the above programs will perform great with a cold air intake and or bigger, open exhaust. These modifications are not required so long as you follow the load guidelines. Installation is easy and requires no tools. Please note, programmers can only be used on ONE vehicle at a time.
