The new Superlift K375 4 to 5 lift kit for the 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 provides unsurpassed performance because it was designed using advanced digital-computer technology and then manufactured with laser precision. The Superlift 4-5 lift systems geometry ensures optimum service for the drive shafts, pinion bearings and CV axles. The 1/4 thick steel brackets are designed to resist flexing and will probably outlast the rest of the truck! The Superlift Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 4 to 5 lift kit allows you to easily clear most 35 tall tire and wheel combinations. If you adjust the factory torsion bars up a little you can increase lift height to 5.5 inches over stock and run up to a 37x12.5 tire mounted on a 17x8 wheel. Running a 37 tire requires a wheel with less than factory back space - recommended back space when running a 37 diameter tire is 3-5/8 inches. Superlift includes their high quality, CNC machined knuckles that dont increase track width which allows the use of factory offset wheels. This is nice because it helps keep the tires inside the fenders which reduces the amount of debris kicked up by the tires that can damage your trucks paint! If you want a wide truck you can still build it that way if you want... but its nice to have the option to keep the tires covered by the factory fenders. So you want to know more about the kits features? Ok... Installation is not difficult and does not require any welding. However, due to the complexity of the kit PerformanceLifts.com recommends that novice mechanics have a professional install this lift for them. The included belly-pan uses counter sunk bolts for extra strength & mates flush to the one-piece front and rear crossmembers to form an unbelievably strong, high-clearance sub-frame assembly that makes kicker braces unnecessary. They use flush mount hardware because its less likely to get hung up when your travels take you way off the paved roads. The rear is lifted using an add-a-leaf and as an option you can run dual rear shocks to reduce the factory leaf springs from wrapping up or shuddering when accelerating. Longer sway bar links with factory type ends are included that help maintain on-road control and stability. The standard kit includes four of the Superlift Superride shock absorbers. To get the absolute best ride and performance from this Superlift suspension lift we strongly recommend the new Bilstein shock absorbers for use with this kit. Superlift and Bilstein have teamed up to produce kit specific shock absorbers that really do outperform the less expensive shocks. Youve already spent a ton of money on your new truck and it deserves a high quality shock absorber. You cant get the best ride unless you run the best shock and for the money the new Superlift / Bilstein shock is the one you need! A special tool is required to remove and install the Rams factory lower control arm bushings. Superlift offers a low-cost, one-time use tool (SUP4544) as an alternative to the tool a dealership would use.
