This Icon Vehicle Dynamics 3" Lift Kit is designed to fit 1999.5-2004 Super Duty and 2000-2005 Excursion vehicles. Ford F250 and F350 SuperDuty and Excursion owners pay attention - its easy to dismiss this Icon 3" 3-3099 kit as just another lift kit. It might look similar to other kits but believe us when we say its hands down better than the rest! Icon Vehicle Dynamics is the new name for Donahoe Racing. ICon Vehicle Dynamics designs and builds this race inspired suspension system using the same great quality that made Donahoe Racing Enterprises famous. This kit has been developed and tested on trucks in the deserts of Baja Mexico. The same kit that Off-Road Race teams rely on for chase duty are now available in a bolt-on kit for the 4wd Ford SuperDuty and Excursion. Each Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension lift is built from the ground up to be bulletproof and this kit is no exception. Improved performance and a more aggressive stance will give your 4x4 the look it deserves and the ride you and your passengers want! Icon Vehicle Dynamics starts with laser cut pieces to ensure a precise fit and finishes up with some of the prettiest and strongest welds you'll ever see in a production lift kit. This is NOT a cheapo mass production kit. You pay more and you get more when you buy Donahoe Racing products, simple as that. Yes, this lift kit is super strong and it rides great... but the real beauty of the Icon 3-3099 3" lift spring hanger and shackle kit is it allows the stock front leaft springs to be reused and makes for a super easy installation. The best feature is this kit provides increased suspension travel and better shock absorbers which allow this kit to ride better than stock! This 3" lift system will in most cases level the F350 Super Duty trucks front to rear, giving enough room to clear 305/75R16 tires. If you own a 1999.5-2004 F250 Super Duty you might need 1" of rear lift properly level the truck. Your mileage may vary. Ford Excursion owners wanting to level their SUV generally run the 3" front lift and a 2" rear lift. Excursion SUV's do not sit as low in the front compared to the F-250 and F-350 trucks. PerformanceLifts.com recommends all customers measure the difference in front to rear height before selecting a rear block kit as F-250, F-350, and Excursion heights do vary. If you want to lift your vehicle and retain the factory look, (higher in the rear) a taller rear block kit will be required. This Icon Vehicle Dynamics Super Duty 3" lift system comes complete with BULLETPROOF spring hanger brackets and replacement front shackles. With no change in spring rate and the optional Bilstein 5100 or Icon IVD Signature series shock absorbers, the ride quality cannot be beat. This Icon system is very plush and extremely drivable in the corners and maintains the factory tow ratings. Bilstein shock absorbers are included as standard with the kit. PerformanceLifts.com now offers the option of running upgraded Icon IVD Signature series shock absorbers. The Icon IVD Signature series shock is the best riding shock we offer for this lift, better than the Bilstein but more expensive. Our advice? Buy the best the first time and thank yourself later. Icon also offers their dual front shock kits for use with this this lift and this item is available separately below. An adjustable pan rod bar is available for 1999.5-2004 4x4 F250/F350 SuperDuty Trucks and 2000-2005 4x4 Excursion vehicles only and is highly recommended. The adjustable pan rod bar allows you to easily adjust the position of the front axle under the vehicle and get it properly centered beneath the frame rails. The adjustable pan rod bar is considered a necessity by PerformanceLifts.com and Icon Vehicle Dynamics. All rear block kits are purchased separately using the drop down selection box located beneath this item description. This 3" lift kit fits the 1999.5-2004 4x4 Super Duty and 2000-2005 4x4 Excursion only and works with all power and drivetrain configurations, including the 7.3L and 6.0L PowerStroke Diesels, as well as those equipped with the 5.4L V8 and 6.8L V10 Triton gas motors.
