True Flow recommends using this 95110 Cleaning Kit with all of their foam filters. You must use this filter cleaning system to keep your True Flow foam filter in good condition. Using a cleaning product or oiling product designed for a cotton gauze filter can do serious damage to the foam used in the True Flow filter. For this reason, ONLY USE TRUE FLOW CLEANING KITS WHEN SERVICING YOUR TRUE FLOW FILTER! Heres how to properly clean your True Flow Foam Filter... Spray generous amounts of True Flow Cleaner on the inside and outside of the filter. Let it soak for approximately 3-4 minutes. Rinse out the filter element in warm water until clean. A second application may be necessary for heavily soiled elements. Finally, make sure filter is completely dry before re-oiling. Do not use compressed air or heat to speed the drying process as this can damage your filter. Next, clean the filter frame, the filter mounting surface, and the air box. Now you are ready to apply oil to your True Flow filter. Again, DO NOT USE GAUZE OR COTTON FILTER OIL ON YOUR FOAM FILTER! - Proper oiling of your True Flow filter is very important. Spray the filter inside and out until the filter has complete coverage with oil. You may want to wear thin surgical or latex gloves for the next step. Work the oil into the foam using your hands. Repeat this step once more, and then dab filter with paper towels to remove excess oil. If your filter has a rubber mount flange, be sure to clean the mounting surface free of oil. Do not over oil your filter! Applying too much filter oil can foul up sensors on fuel injected and computer controlled engines. Your filter should NEVER be dripping wet with oil! Now youre ready to re-install the best air filter on earth! This item includes one can of cleaning agent and one can of foam filter oil. This item can only be shipped via Ground service.
