This Fox Racing 2.0 Reservoir Shock has been purpose built and valved for use on the rear of lifted GM HD Series Trucks. This shock absorber will fit the rear of a 2001-2010 1500HD, 2500, 2500HD or 3500 Single Rear Wheel truck equipped with a 4" to 6" rear suspension lift. Please note, this shock is NOT designed for use on 3500 Dual Rear Wheel trucks! Fox Racing Shox have been used on winning off-road racing vehicles since the 1970s. As the shock absorber is exposed to exessive heat it will fade and/or fail. If you are experiencing excessive shock failure or fading, it may be time to step up to the performance of a Fox 2.0 Reservoir Series Shock Absorber, Increased cooling capability will be achieved by running a Reservoir style shock absorber.
Increased Oil Capacity: The more oil, the better. Higher oil volumes take longer to heat. These Fox 2.0 Reservoir Series shock utilize an external reservoir.

This Fox 980-24-622 Rear shock has been designed and valved for use on a lifted 2001-2010 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra 1500HD, 2500, 2500HD, or 3500 SRW.
