ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to offer a Tubular Upper Control Arm System for the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 model year Dodge Ram 1500 2wd & Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Trucks. The factory Ram 1500 upper ball joints present problems by limiting the potential suspension travel. This is especially true when running the ICON 2.5" VS Series performance coil-over shocks on the 4x4 Ram 1500 trucks. It is also problematic on 2wd Ram 1500 trucks running coil spring spacers or taller lift coils. ICON eliminates the weak factory upper ball-joint and instead uses a Teflon Lined Uniball. ICON includes 17-4 Stainless Taper Pin Adapters that increases the upper arms ability to operate at increased angles. This allows for an increase in possible wheel travel without worrying about the factory ball joint binding or breaking. The ICON upper arm has the ability to safely operate at steeper angles which makes the ICON 218550 Upper Control Arm System especially useful on lifted trucks that are taken off-road.

This ICON Upper Control Arm Kit # 218550 is designed to fit 2009 - 2018 model year Ram 1500 trucks built on the 2wd and 4x4 platforms. The ICON 218550 Upper Control Arm Kit is 100% compatible with factory wheels and factory size tires. When running larger than stock size tires ICON recommends that you pay close attention to the wheel back space. ICON recommends the use of 17" or larger diameter wheels with a maximum of 5.25" inches of back space on 2wd trucks and 5.75" inches of back space on 4wd trucks. Use of larger than stock size tires on wheels with more than the recommended back space may lead to tire sidewall clearance issues with the control arm.
