FOX Racing Shock Mount Bearing # 001-00-004-A
FOX Racing Shox spherical bearing # 001-00-004-A. This PTFE lined bearing is commonly used on the mounts of Fox Racing Shox shock absorbers. This particular bearing has a .500" inside diameter and a 1.000" outside diameter. Item includes one bearing and two circlips. This bearing style mounting system is strong enough to stay together during the Baja 1000 but does have a tendency to wear out when used on a daily driven vehicle. If your FOX 2.0 Series Shocks are squeaking or rattling at their mounts it may be because the bearing is worn out. Replacement is relatively easy and can usually be performed with basic tools.

This FOX 001-00-004-A Spherical Bearing is most commonly used in the ends of the FOX Racing 2.0 Series shock absorbers. The bearing has a .500" inch Inside Diameter and is designed for use with a 1/2" bolt. The Outside Diameter is 1.000" inch. Please double check that this Fox part number 001-00-004-A has the correct dimensions for use with the shocks that you are rebuilding or repairing. PerformanceLifts.com includes one bearing and two circlips. We include two new circlips because the originals sometimes get lost or damaged during removal. Please note that to rebuild both ends of one FOX 2.0 shock will in most cases require purchasing two of these kits.
This item includes 1 Bearing and 2 retention circlips. It's sad that we have to even say this... but the end cap, Schrader Valve and valve cap are NOT included. Neither is the small section of shock body displayed in the product image. Please also note that a press is generally not required to remove or install the bearing but it can make the job much easier. Most customers used match size sockets and a bench vice to remove the old and install the new bearing. Others have used 1/2" all-thread and make their own press tool. If the bearing has really seized itself inside the aluminum shock mount due to corrosion a hydraulic press may be necessary to remove it.
