Ram 1500 2wd Lift Spindles DO NOT fit Ram 2500 / 3500 Trucks!

We've been getting more and more e-mails and calls from 1994 - 2002 Ram 2500 and 3500 series 2wd truck owners wondering if they can install the Ram 1500 2wd lift spindles on their truck. The answer is NO!

Here's why...

The 1994-1999 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks utilize different inner and outer wheel bearings than the 1994-2002 Ram 2500 / 3500 2wd trucks. The Ram 1500 uses an inner wheel bearing with a Bore of 1.375" and Outer Cup Diameter of 2.5625". In comparison, the Ram 2500 / 3500 trucks use an inner wheel bearing with a Bore of 1.625" and Cup Outer Diameter of 2.891". That means the bearings are VERY different... which means the wheel hubs are VERY different. There are no conversion parts available that allow the use of 8-lug hubs with the 5-lug spindle and bearing set.

As is common with the different series trucks the Ram 1500 2wd trucks use lighter duty and smaller components than the heavier duty 2500 and 3500 series 2wd trucks. The only way that it would be possible to install a 1994-1999 Ram 1500 2wd lift spindle on a Ram 2500 / 3500 series truck would be to convert the front of your 8-lug truck over to 5-lug using OE style parts. Assuming you made everything fit you would basically de-rate the front of a 2500 / 3500 series truck down to 1500 series capacity. Not a good idea.

We have never sold (or known of) any company offering a lift spindle for the 1994-2002 Ram 2500 / 3500 2wd trucks. Just to be perfectly clear... the lift spindles designed for installation on the 2003+ Ram 2500 / 3500 trucks will absolutely NOT fit the 1994-2002 model year trucks.
