This Titan Fuel Tank is designed to allow 2001-2010 Chevrolet and GMC 2500HD / 3500 Series Duramax equipped Crew Cab Short Bed (CCSB) owners to increase their everyday carrying capacity of diesel fuel from 26 gallons to 52 gallons. The GM Crew Cab Short Bed trucks have some of the smallest diesel tanks on the market and this really limits their range. After installing a 52 gallon Titan Fuel Tank you will have approximately DOUBLE your current driving range. This means fewer stops for fuel and allows you to take advantage of cheap diesel when you can find it. For some customers this tank can pay for itself in a short period of time by not having to fill up at "expensive" filling stations and instead filling up when the pump price is lower. Titan Fuel Tank # 7010201. This tank is designed for use only on Duramax 6.6L Diesel equipped 2500HD and 3500 series Crew Cab Short Bed trucks sold as 2001 through 2010 model years only. This tank will NOT fit gasoline engine equipped trucks! We do offer tanks for other diesel models including Extended Cab and Crew Cab Long Bed trucks. Each Titan Fuel Tank is built using extra heavy duty cross-linked polyethylene material and is actually thicker and STRONGER than the factory tank it is designed to replace. This 52 gallon fuel tank includes everything necessary for installation, including powder coated crossmember bracket and steel strap set, rubber mounting bushing, vent hoses, rollover safety vent valves, seals and all required clamps. A set of very detailed and easy to read instructions are also included to help make installation easy for both novice mechanics and pros alike.
TITAN Fuel Tanks Direct Replacement, Mid-Ship Fuel Tanks are manufactured to use the trucks stock/original equipment fuel sending unit. The trucks stock sending unit is removed from the stock tank and mounted into the TITAN tank. They are a direct fit, there are no modifications needed. With use of the stock sending unit, the trucks analog fuel gauge will read correct and accurate with the TITAN tank.
Please note, the Titan Fuel Tank LB7 Kit is required on all 2001 to 2003 General Motors Duramax equipped trucks. On certain 2004 models it is also required if the eighth character in the vehicle VIN is a "1".
