CST 6-8" Suspension Lifts for 2011+ Silverado & Sierra 2500HD / 3500
CST Performance Suspension has been a leader in the aftermarket suspension industry for over two decades. CST is very well known for offering superior suspension lifts and accessories designed for the Heavy Duty line of Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. This page features information specific to the CST 6-8" Suspension Lift Systems. Suspension Lift Application Information:
Starting with the 2011 model year General Motors did a complete re-design of the suspension and frame on the 2500HD and 3500 series trucks. This means that almost none of the products designed for use on a 2010 2500HD will fit a 2011 2500HD. GM made some very slight revisions to their 2015 model year but all of the products that CST offers for the 2011-2014 trucks will also fit the 2015. So if you've got a 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 or 2015 Silverado or Sierra 2500HD / 3500 truck the products on this page will fit. Please note that some products may be engine or transmission specific. An example would be if a product is either Diesel or Gasoline specific that will be noted. If a product is 2wd or 4x4 specific that will be noted.
CST 6-8" TORSION BAR DROP KIT # CSK-C3-15-1
This CST 6-8” Suspension Lift Kit does NOT include rear rear shock absorbers. Rear shock absorbers will need to be purchased to complete this kit. This CST 6-8" lift includes shock mounting brackets designed to retain the factory front shocks. This is the most basic 6-8" kit that CST offers for the 2011+ HD trucks. The factory torsion bars are dropped down via fabricated steel brackets that feature the CST logo laser cut into the face of the bracket. The CSK-C3-15-1 kit can achieve up to 6.5" inches of front suspension lift right out of the box. If you want to go up to the maximum front suspension lift height of 8" inches you will need to purchase Torsion Lift Keys. Please note that if you raise the front 8" inches the rear lift height may also need to be increased to achieve the desired stance. With 8" inches of front lift the included CST 5" Lift Blocks will not provide a level stance and the front of the truck will be noticeably higher than the back. To achieve a more level stance the CST Add-A-Leaf Kit # CSL-C19-2 can be installed to increase the rear lift height an additional 2" inches. Another option is to replace the included CST 5" Block with a set of CST 6.5" lift full replacement rear leaf spring packs. Please note that by default the CSK-C3-15-1 kit includes a 5" tall rear block kit. All other rear lift options will be purchased separately at an additional cost.

CST 6-8" STOCK TORSION BAR LOCATION KIT # CSK-C3-17-1
This CST 6-8" Lift features the STL design that is becoming more popular with HD owners. STL stands for Stock Torsion Location. This lift also provides between 6" inches and 8" inches of lift. The advantage the STL design has is it provides additional ground clearance between the rear torsion bar crossmember and the lower control arm. The Stock Torsion Location design keeps the factory torsion bars tucked up higher beneath the truck and gives the truck a cleaner side profile. All other options for this kit are the same as the regular CST 6-8" Torsion Bar Drop style lift. The CSK-C3-17-1 does not include rear shock absorbers. Rear shock absorbers will need to be purchased to complete this kit. This lift includes shock mounting brackets designed to retain the factory front shocks. Upgrading the CST 6-8" Kit to the full 8" Front Lift Height:
This is the most common upgrade customers select when purchasing the CST 6-8" lift. If you want to achieve the full 8" inches of front suspension lift you will need to install a pair of Torsion Lift Keys. These Torsion Lift Keys are NOT included with the base kits and must be purchased separately. If you decide to raise the front suspension height to the full 8" inches the included rear lift may not be sufficient to achieve a level stance. All of the base CST 6-8" kits include a pair of 5" Lift Blocks (that replace any factory block) and Extended Length U-Bolts. Our experience with these trucks has proven that the included CST Rear Block Kit is NOT enough lift to level the truck front to back when the front has been lifted 8" inches. You will need at minimum an additional 2" inches of rear lift if you want a level stance. If you want the rear to be HIGHER than the front you will need at minimum 3" inches of additional rear lift. This additional rear lift is NOT included in the base kits! To gain additional rear suspension lift height you can either install the CST Add-A-Leaf or the CST 6.5" Lift Full Replacement Leaf Spring Packs. When installing the 6.5" Lift Rear Leaf Packs we offer 1", 2", 3", 4" and 5" rear block heights to fine tune the rear lift height to give you the exact stance you want for your truck. Please note that the same length front shocks will be used on a truck equipped with the CST 6-8" lift regardless if the front height is set to 6" inches or 8" inches. The rear shock length may need to be corrected for any increase or decrease in suspension lift height. CST Forged Torsion Lift Keys # CSK-C13-3
CST Forged Torsion Lift Keys. This item includes one pair of Torsion Lift Keys. These Torsion Lift Keys are required when you want to increase the front suspension lift height of your CST 6-8" kit all the way up to the maximum 8" inches of lift. This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits. These Forged Torsion Keys are made in the USA.
CST Dirt Series Upper Control Arm Kit # CSS-C2-10
The CST Dirt Series Upper Control Arm Kit is equipped with a sealed upper UniBall cap design. The 1" inner diameter UniBall that CST uses is much stronger than the factory ball-joint and offers more range of movement before it binds. The CST UniBall arms are built from tubular steel and are stronger than the factory arms. These arms are recommended when running the CST 6-8" kit at the maximum 8" inches of lift height. This item includes a pair of CST Tubular Steel Upper Control Arms. This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits. This item is Made in the USA!
CST CV Style Front Drive Shaft # CSP-C28-1 (6.6L Diesel Engine Only)
This is the CST CV Style High Angle Front Driveshaft. This driveshaft may be necessary on some models to prevent a driveline vibration from occuring when the vehicle is operating in 4WD. If you own a 2wd HD you do NOT need this item. If you own a 4x4 truck this may be a necessary upgrade. On some trucks the factory front driveshaft can cause a vibration when the truck is driven in 4wd or 4LO at speeds in excess of 20mph. If you like to drive your truck off-road at high speeds, or if you live in a climate where driving in snow or ice at highway speeds is a reality, this High Angle Front Driveshaft is recommended. We tell customers to start off without purchasing this item until you have tested your truck in 4wd mode at speed. If you notice any front driveline vibration or noise the CSP-C28-1 is the solution. Please note that when installing this CST CV Style Front Driveshaft you must also install the CSS-C22-8 Shift Linkage Bracket. This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits. CST CV Style Front Drive Shaft # CSP-C28-3 (6.0L Gasoline Engine Only)

CST Shift Linkage Bracket # CSS-C22-8 (Allison Automatic Transmission Only)
If you are installing a CST CV Style Driveshaft you will also need to install this Shift Linkage Bracket. The universal joint cage on the CST Driveshaft has a larger outside diameter than the factory driveshaft. The CSS-C22-8 must be installed in order to prevent contact between the shift linkage and the front driveshaft. If you fail to install this part the front driveshaft can RIP THE SHIFT LINKAGE OFF THE TRUCK AND CAUSE DAMAGE. If you own a 2wd HD you do NOT need this item. This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits. This item is Made in the USA.
CST Carrier Bearing Spacer # CSS-C28-3 (2-Piece Rear Drive Shaft Only)
The CST Rear Carrier Bearing Spacer is only for use on trucks equipped with a 2-piece rear driveshaft. When the rear suspension lift height is increased it also increases the operating angle of the rear driveshaft. This increase in angle can be hard on the rear carrier bearing and this spacer is designed to help reduce the angle at the intersection between the primary and secondary rear driveshaft sections. If you experience any rear driveline vibration and have a 2-piece rear driveshaft this product will help reduce and possibly eliminate that issue. If your 2500HD or 3500 has a single piece rear driveshaft you cannot install this item. This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits. This item is Made in the USA.
CST Extreme Duty Tie Rod Kit # CSS-C24-14
The factory tie rods on the GM HD Trucks is anything but heavy duty. It doesn't matter if you use your HD for work or play... this is one of the best upgrades we offer. The OE tie rods are not strong enough for off-road use with a stock size tire and when you install a lift and larger off-road tires the chances of you breaking parts is increased. These Generation 2 Tie Rods are massive overkill for some owners but everyone can agree, with Tie Rods stronger is safer than weaker. If you can only upgrade one part of your truck right now this is where we recommend you start. The CSS-C24-14 Extreme Duty Tie Rod Kit is a full replacement and includes the inner and outer pivots. These come assembled for installation but MUST BE PROPERLY GREASED BEFORE INSTALLING! This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits. This item is Made in the USA.
CST Steering Stabilizer Kit # CSR-2946
If you are installing wider tires, wider wheels or aggressive off-road style tire the CST Steering Stabilizer Kit can be a good upgrade. Off-road tires can be difficult to balance and in some cases may not even be perfectly round when new. These tire related problems can cause the steering wheel to shimmy and shake. Installing a steering stabilizer will help mask these problems. If you like to take your 2500HD or 3500 series Silverado or Sierra off-road this is a good upgrade to install when the lift is being installed. For truck owners that spend the majority of their time on the pavement this item can always be installed later if needed. This item is NOT included in any of the base CST kits.
