ICON Vehicle Dynamics Upper Control Arm # 98500DJ. Fits 2004-2020 Ford F-150 trucks. This control arm was designed for truck owners running a leveling kit, lift kit or aftermarket performance coilover. The Ford F-150 gets pushed to the edge of the alignment spec range after a mild lift or leveling kit is installed. ICON has adjusted the dimensions of their control arm to correct the alignment while providing additional castor as well. The tubular steel arm is stronger than the stock one and can operate at steeper angles than the stock one too.

These upper control arms feature ICON's patent pending Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.

This ICON Upper Control Arm System will fit all 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 model year Ford F-150 trucks built on the 2wd and 4x4 platforms. The arm system is 100% compatible with factory wheels and factory size tires. ICON recommends that when running larger tires on the factory wheels you pay close attention to the wheel back space. ICON recommends 17" or larger diameter wheels with a maximum of 5.00" inches of back space on both 2wd and 4wd models when running larger off-road tires on the F150. This ensure sufficient clearance between the tire sidewall and the ICON Upper Control Arm.
