The Bilstein 24-187183 shock features a zinc-plated steel body and the new Triple-C-Technology coating. Each shock includes the necessary bushings required for installation. Please note, the factory hardware will be re-used for the lower shock mount at the control arm. Bilstein includes a black shock boot with this shock. This Bilstein 5100 series shock # 24-187183 is a high gas pressure Mono-Tube shock absorber designed specifically for use on a Chevrolet or GMC 8-lug vehicle equipped with most 4" to 6" aftermarket lift kits. This shock will fit 2001-2010 Chevrolet 1500HD, 2500HD, 3500 Silverado, GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 trucks. It also fits 2000 - 2013 Suburban 2500 and 2000-2013 GMC Yukon XL 2500 series vehicles. Please note that this shock will fit both 2wd and 4x4 models.
Bilstein shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with a self-adjusting deflective disc valving. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for both heavy hauling and occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional street ride.
