Bilstein 2001-2010 GM 2500HD & 3500 Torsion Lift Front Shock # 24-186735

This Bilstein 5100 series shock # 24-186735 is a high gas pressure Mono-Tube shock absorber designed specifically for use on a Chevrolet or GMC 8-lug vehicle equipped with a 1" to 2.5" Torsion Bar lift or aftermarket torsion lift keys. This shock will fit 2001-2010 Chevrolet 1500HD, 2500HD, 3500 Silverado, GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 trucks. It also fits 2000 - 2013 Suburban 2500 and 2000-2013 GMC Yukon XL 2500 series vehicles. Please note that this shock will fit both 2wd and 4x4 models.

Bilstein shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with a self-adjusting deflective disc valving. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for both heavy hauling and occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional street ride.

Customers that would also like to upgrade the rear shocks on their truck have the option of purchasing a matched set of Bilstein 5100 Series Rear shocks. Bilstein offers two different part numbers for the rear of the 2500HD and 3500 Series trucks. Bilstein Part number 24-186742 has the same silver finish with the black boot as the front shock. This part number is designed for use on stock height to +1" rear lifted vehicles. Bilstein also offers part number 24-191203 that again has the nice silver finish with the black boot but this shock is designed to accommodate up to 2" inches or rear lift. For those curious about the lengths of these two shocks, the Bilstein 24-186742 Rear Shock measures 26.15" inches fully extended and the longer 24-191203 measures 27.36" fully extended.
