CST 1999-2006 GM 1500 Heavy Duty Tie Rods # CSS-C24-8
This CST CSS-C24-8 Extreme Duty Tie Rod Kit is designed to replace the wimpy and failure prone factory tie rod ends. If you own a GM fullsize truck or SUV and you travel off-road you may already know how weak the factory tie rod ends are. The factory ends are a common failure point and when one breaks you lose steering control. If you are running any sort of suspension or body lift and larger than stock tires this is a very good upgrade. While the rest of the GM full-size trucks and SUV's are built pretty solid the weak leak up front is the tie rods. Take a look at your stock tie rods and you'll agree, they are just undersized for the task! CST Performance Suspension Heavy Duty Tie Rods # CSS-C24-8 are designed for use on Chevrolet and GMC 1500 series vehicles equipped with the Torsion Bar front suspension. This item will absolutely not fit coil spring front suspension equipped models or any 2500/3500 series trucks. These tie rods are a direct fit replacement for the factory tie rods.

This item will NOT fit the 1999 Classic Edition models built on the earlier 1998 style chassis!
The CST Extreme Tie Rods feature a 1" Forged one piece design and offer 9* degrees of additional range of motion over the stock GM tie rod ends. The inner tie rod design is 30% larger than the factory pieces too. CST designed their upgraded Extreme Tie Rod kit to work with factory steering knuckles (spindles) and require no modifications to install. Simply remove your existing tie rod ends and install these using basic hand tools!
The website price includes one pair of CST Heavy Duty Tie Rods, enough for one vehicle.
