This CST Performance Suspension 7" lift system is designed for use with all 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 model year 2wd Dodge Ram 1500 trucks. If you own a 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd and want the best lift kit available you need to take a look at this kit. The heart of this lift is the CST Fabricated Lift Spindle that provides 4" inches of lift. These 4" lift spindles are made by hand from 1018 sheet steel and will lift the front of your truck an honest 4 inches over stock and at the same time provide an additional 4" inches of ground clearance. CST fabricated steel spindles are MUCH stronger than the stock cast aluminum Dodge Ram spindles too. Remember that ground clearance increase? A 2wd Dodge Ram 1500 equipped with this 7" CST suspension lift has more ground clearance under the front crossmember than a similarly lifted Ram 4x4! CST also includes a pair of 3" lift coil springs that when combined with CST 4" lift spindle provide a full 7" of suspension lift.
CST now offers two different 4" Lift Spindles for the 2002-2005 Ram 1500 2wd trucks. The only difference is the material type used to produce them. The CSS-D1-1 Spindles are Fabricated in the USA by CST using 1018 Sheet Steel and are the strongest Race Style spindle CST offers. New from CST are the CSS-D1-5 Spindles that are also built in the USA but are Cast Iron and slightly less expensive than the Fabricated Steel Version. Both of the CST Ram 1500 2wd 4" Lift Spindles are built in the USA and are stronger than the OEM parts they replace.
Ordering Information
This CST 7" suspension lift kit includes a pair of CST 4" Lift Spindles, a pair of CST 3" Lift Replacement Coil Springs or 3" Lift Urethane Coil Spring Spacers, and a CST Rear Block and Extended Length U-Bolt Kit. Shock absorbers are not included. If your truck is equipped with the 5.9L 360ci V8 or 5.7L Hemi V8 CST recommends the use of their 3" Lift Coil Spring Spacer instead of their replacement Coil Springs if you want to gain the full 7" inches of front suspension lift. Most customers install a 3" or 4" rear Block and U-Bolt Kit to help level the truck front to rear. To put together a complete 7" Suspension Lift System you must select a Rear Lift Block Height and the type of shock absorbers you want using the selection boxes located above. Due to vehicle assembly variances its impossible for us to say whether or not your truck will require a 3" or 4" rear block to sit level. In most cases the 4" Lift Rear Block Kit will level the Ram 1500's when a 7" front lift is installed. We suggest you measure and eyeball the difference between front and rear height (on level ground) and use that to help select the correct Rear Lift Block Kit for your truck. Some customers ask why is the rear only lifted 3 or 4 inches when the front is lifted 7 inches? Simple, the Dodge Ram 1500 2wd Trucks come from the factory with the front end MUCH lower than the rear, lifting the front suspension more than the rear will help level the truck.
Tire & Wheel Info:
This lift is not designed for use with stock 17" wheels and larger than stock tires. The CST 7" Lift Kit is designed to run up to a 35" or metric equivalent diameter tire when mounted on an 8" to 9" wide wheel. If running 17" diameter wheels the back space should not exceed 5.00" inches! When running larger diameter wheels the back space tolerance does allow for wheels with more than 4.75" inches of back space to be used. Factory 20" wheels can be used with tires up to a 305 Series or 12.00" wide.

Due to the design of the 2002-2005 Ram 1500 2wd Suspension the use of the correct length front shock is very important. Using a shock absorber with the correct extended length will prevent the aluminum upper control arm from knocking against the top of the steel frame rail. The front shock absorber acts as a suspension limiter and running a front shock that is considerably longer in the extended length can cause premature upper control arm ball-joint wear.. For this reason CST highly recommends the use of their CSR Series Performance shock absorbers (or a shock with an equivalent extended length) with their CST 7" suspension lift kit. The CST shocks are powdercoated Silver and include a Black protective boot, very similar in construction and design to a Bilstein 5100. The Rancho RS5000 has a WHITE shock body with a RED boot and the Rancho RS9000XL has a SILVER powdercoat finish with a RED boot. The Bilstein 5100 series has a Machined Silver shock body and a Black boot.
