This CST Performance Suspension CSS-C2-10 Uni-Ball Upper Control Arm is designed for use on the new 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 model year GM 2500HD and 3500 series 2wd and 4x4 trucks. CST has re-designed their Uni-Ball Upper Arm and it now features a sealed upper cup design. The Uni-Ball is no longer fully exposed to the elements which means the UniBall should last longer before requiring replacement. The CST 2011 - 2019 Chevy & GMC 2500HD / 3500 Upper Arm Kit # CSS-C2-10 includes pre-installed Uni-balls with tapered pins that are designed for use with the factory GM steering knuckles. These upper control arms are a 100% bolt-on item. No cutting, welding, or machining is required to install them. CST has built this Upper Arm Kit to satisfy the demand of CST customers that wanted the strength of a uni-ball but in an easier to maintain and longer lasting design. CST redesigned their control arms and they now feature a sealed upper top cup design. This design effectively prevents dirt and contaminants from building up on top of the Uni-Ball and prevents premature wear.
If you've got a 2011 through 2019 model year Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD / 3500 or GMC Sierra 2500HD / 3500 truck this is a great suspension upgrade. Use of a Uni-Ball instead of a factory style ball-joint allows the CST upper control arm to operate at more severe angles without binding. When paired with the correct shock absorber this CST Control Arm Kit can provide increased suspension travel and better ride quality when the truck is driven on or off-road. Oil field and remote job site location guys (and gals) prefer this CST Upper Arm over the factory arm because the CST version can withstand severe off-road punishment for extended periods of time. If you've worn out or broken the factory ball-joint in your existing control arms this is an excellent upgrade!
