This CST CSS-C29-21 aluminum skid plate is designed for use on 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 2wd trucks and replaces the factory plastic skid plate. This Skid Plate is compatible with stock vehicles and those equipped with the non-Subframe style suspension lifts. If your vehicle is equipped with a Fabtech or ProComp Subframe style lift this CSS-C29-21 Skidplate will NOT fit. The CST # CSS-C29-21 has a raw aluminum finish. This CST Aluminum Skid Plate # CSS-C29-21 is a direct fit replacement for the factory plastic front skid plate found on the 2-wheel drive 1999-2006 Chevrolet and GMC 1500 series trucks. The GM plastic skid plate is prone to cracking and this aluminum skid plate is a stronger and better looking solution. This skid plate can be installed on completely stock vehicles or those equipped with a CST suspension lifts. Please note that this item is only designed for use on 2wd models. Installation is easy and reuses the factory hardware. Most customers are able to remove their factory skid plate and install this one in less than 10 minutes.
