Fabtech Motorsports # FT1599-4BK-P includes one pair of rear coil springs that are vehicle and lift height specific. Designed to fit 2007 - 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban 1500, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL 1500 SUV's already equipped with the Fabtech 6" lift system. Again, these coil springs are only for use on vehicles already equipped with a Fabtech 6" suspension lift system.
Why do we sell just a pair of rear coil springs?
These coil springs are most often installed by customers that want to eliminate the failure prone Air Suspension (AutoRide) from their Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban 1500, GMC Yukon or Yukon XL 1500. These FT1599-4BK rear coil springs are slightly taller and can be used to replace the shorter FT1599-2BK springs that Fabtech ships with their AutoRide specific suspension lift kits. The FT1599-4BK coil springs provide about 1" additional lift height versus the FTS1599-2BK and help to ensure the vehicle ride height is correct when you eliminate your factory Air Ride.
What's the difference?
Customers ask why the FT1599-4BK coil springs used on the standard suspension vehicles are taller than the FT1599-2BK coil springs that Fabtech includes with their AutoRide specific lift systems. The answer is because on factory AutoRide equipped vehicles the factory air shock is used as a supplement to the metal coil spring to set the ride height. GM relies on the AutoRide air shock to provide additional ride height. When you eliminate the factory air shocks you eliminate this additional ride height and can end up with a saggy rear suspension.
FTS1599-4BK-P Contents:
2 x FT1599-BK Coil Spring
Please note, this is NOT a complete Fabtech Suspension Lift System. This is the only a pair of Fabtech Rear Coil Springs by themselves. Shocks are NOT included.
