Fabtech Performance Shock Absorber # FTS7189. Fabtech has designed this shock absorber to work in conjunction with specific Fabtech suspension systems, resulting in superior ride control. Features include high velocity 9-stage valving for excellent dampening capabilities and a closed cell insert to reduce shock fade at high speeds.

FTS7189 Fitment Information:

This shock can fit a wide range of vehicles. 2005+ Ford Super Duty Front Shock. 2003+ Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Front Shock. 2007 - 2021 Toyota Tundra Rear Shock. 2005 - 2023 Toyota Tacoma Rear Shock. The only issue is this shock is somewhat lift height specific. If you are not sure if this FTS7189 is correct for your vehicle please contact us before purchase. A twin tube shock absorber consists of a thin wall inner pressure tube and outer reserve tube. The inner tube houses the valving components, piston and base valve, and is where the damping forces are generated. The outer tube acts as a reservoir for displaced fluid from the shaft volume during the compression stroke. Also contained in the outer tube is a foam sleeve or gas bag that contracts and expands with respect to shaft displacement to eliminate air pockets and increase the performance of the shock.
