ICON 2014 - 2018 Silverado & Sierra 1500 UCA - Aluminum & Stamped Steel Suspension # 78601DJ

This ICON Tubular Upper Control Arm Kit with Delta Joint # 78601DJ is designed for use on 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 model year Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks equipped with the Aluminum or Stamped Steel suspension only. NOT FOR USE ON CAST STEEL! This control arm kit is compatible with most aftermarket coilover and shock upgrade kits and is designed to allow for additional suspension travel by increasing the amount of droop or rebound travel (suspension extension). The ICON Tubular Steel Upper Arm is also considerably stronger than the factory arm and is designed to withstand serious off-road use. When paired with the right extended travel coilover this upper arm creates a nice mid-travel system. Please note this control arm will only fit Aluminum or Stamped Steel suspension equipped trucks and SUV's. GM offers 3 types of suspension materials, Cast Steel, Aluminum and Stamped Steel. This item will NOT fit the Cast Steel suspension so please make sure to verify your vehicles suspension material type before placing your order.

ICON Delta Joint Features:
These upper control arms feature ICON's Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.
