This Rancho Suspension RS5000X Series Shock Absorber RS55609 is designed for use on the front suspension of a 1997-2004 Dodge Durango or Dakota - 2WD ONLY! This shock will NOT fit any 4x4 models. This is a stock replacement shock designed for a vehicle not equipped with a suspension lift. This is the worlds best-selling light truck shock absorber... and for good reason. This Rancho RS55609 will fit the 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 model year 2wd Dodge Dakota and Dodge Durango vehicles. This shock is designed as a stock length replacement for the factory front shock on these Dodge models only. Please note that this shock will not fit 4x4 trucks or SUV's. The RS55609 includes new upper bushings and hardware. You will reuse your existing lower shock mounting hardware currently installed on the vehicle. This shock is not recommended for use with Dakota or Durango vehicles equipped with a Fabtech or CST Upper Control Arm kit.
