Rancho RS9000XL Series Shock Absorber # RS999126
The Rancho RS999126 shock absorber is designed for installation on the rear suspension of a 1998-2011 Ford Ranger 4x4, Ford Ranger Edge 2wd, or Ford Ranger Sport equipped with the Torsion Bar Front Suspension. This rear shock is designed for use on a stock height to +1" lifted rear suspension. This is Rancho's highest performing non-reservoir shock absorber in the RS9000 series. Rancho RS9000XL Series Shock Absorber # RS999126. The RS9000XL has the now famous 9-way adjustable control knob that allows you to fine tune the shock absorber to your needs. When the shock is set to the lower positions the ride quality is softer and is excellent for pavement use and slow speed off-road use. When the shock is set to the higher settings the ride quality can be noticeably firmed up and the handling when towing or hauling is greatly improved. It can take some trial and error to find a sweet spot where the shock delivers a great ride for a specific vehicle.
