This Rancho RS9000XL series # RS999283 adjustable shock absorber is designed for use on the front of a 2002, 2003, 2004 or 2005 Ram 1500 4x4 pickup truck equipped with the Rancho 4" Suspension Lift System. This shock will NOT fit 2wd models! This shock is Rancho's extended length replacement for the OEM Dodge front shock absorber. The Rancho RS9000XL series is a 9-Way adjustable shock that can provide either a firmer or softer ride by simply adjusting the control knob to one of nine different settings. The Rancho RS9000XL is a great shock when you want to be able to dial in the ride comfort for the type of roads you are driving on.

Rancho RS9000XL Series shock absorber # RS999283. This shock is built by Rancho for use with the Rancho 4" suspension lift system. This product may also fit other vehicles or suspension company lift kits but by design this shock is only for use on the FRONT SUSPENSION of 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 model year Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 trucks equipped with the Rancho RS6573B suspension lift system.
The Rancho RS9000XL series shock absorber is one of Rancho's best performing shocks available and is the newest in their RS9000 series. The RS9000XL has the now famous 9-way adjustable control knob that allows you to fine tune the shock absorber to your needs. When the shock is set to the lower positions the ride quality is softer and is excellent for pavement use and slow speed off-road use. When the shock is set to the higher settings the ride quality is firmed up and the handling when towing is greatly improved. Most customers set the shocks somewhere in between when they find a sweet spot that delivers a good ride for their vehicle
