ICON Vehicle Dynamics Nitrogen Charge Port Needle Fill Tool # 252004. This Nitrogen fill tool is needed to check or refill the nitrogen charge when servicing ICON 2.0 & 2.5 smooth body shocks, as well as 2.5 non-reservoir coil over shocks. On these shocks ICON uses an in house CNC machined charge port which has a low profile design that provides additional clearance. The ICON Nitrogen Fill Tool is required to puncture a rubber plug in the charge port which allows nitrogen into the shock through the needle. This item includes everything as shown. You must supply your own Nitrogen source and regulator. Please note that "shop air" is not recommended for use in any ICON Shock Absorber.

If the Nitrogen charge is too low the shock fluid can aerate (tiny bubbles are formed) and this hurts performance. With aeration reduced the shock is able to react faster and more predictably, allowing for quicker response time and helping keep the tire firmly planted on the road surface.
