CST 2006-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd 7" Lift

CST Performance Suspension 7" Lift for 2006, 2007 and 2008 Ram 1500 2wd trucks. Provides clearance for 35" tires. 100% Bolt On Kit - No Cutting - No Welding - No Drilling! CST now offers two different 4" Lift Spindles for the 2009+ Ram 1500 2wd trucks. The only difference is the material type used to produce them. The CSS-D1-1 Spindles are Fabricated in the USA by CST using 1018 Sheet Steel and are the strongest Race Style spindle CST offers. New from CST are the CSS-D1-5 Spindles that are also built in the USA but are Cast Iron and slightly less expensive than the Fabricated Steel Version. Both of the CST Ram 1500 2wd 4" Lift Spindles are built in the USA and are stronger than the OEM parts they replace.

Ordering Information:
If your truck is a crew cab model equipped with the 5.7L Hemi V8 the CST 3" Lift Coil Springs will provide closer to 2.5" inches of lift. Crew Cab Hemi 5.7L owners that want the full 7" inches of front lift will want to select the CST 3" Lift Coil Spring Spacer option.Most Ram owners achieve a level stance with the 4" rear block kit. We also offer a 3" rear block height for customers that want the Prerunner, Bulldog, or Cali Lean stance. We suggest you measure and eyeball the difference between front and rear height (on level ground) and use that to help select the correct block kit. Some customers ask why is the rear only lifted 3 or 4 inches when the front is lifted 7 inches? Simple, the Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks come from the factory with the front end MUCH lower than the rear. By lifting the front suspension more than the rear we can achieve a level truck. To ensure you purchase a complete and ready to install 7" lift kit you must select your desired rear lift block height and the type of shock absorbers you want using the selection boxes located above this item description.

Tire & Wheel Info:
This lift is not designed for use with stock 17" wheel and larger than stock tires. Factory 20" wheels can be used but the tire width should not exceed 12" inches or 305mm. The CST 7" Lift Kit is designed to run up to a 35" or metric equivalent diameter tire when mounted on an 8" to 9" wide wheel. If running 17" diameter wheels the back space should not exceed 5.25" inches! When running larger diameter wheels the back space tolerance does allow for wheels with more than 5.25" inches of back space to be used. Please read this! Due to the design of the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Ram 1500 2wd suspension this lift requires the installation of an extended length front brake hose. A pair of DOT approved braided stainless steel hoses are included with this lift. This is why the CST 7" lift for the 2006-2008 Ram 1500 2wd is more expensive than for the 2002-2005 model year trucks. Please also not that the use of the correct length front shock absorber will prevent the aluminum upper control arm from knocking against the top of the steel frame rail. The front shock acts as a suspension travel limiting device and running a shock that is considerably longer in the extended length than the stock shock is not recommended. For this reason CST highly recommends the use of their CSR Series Performance shock absorbers (or shocks with an equivalent length) with their CST 7" suspension lift kit.
