CST 2006-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd 4" Lift

This complete CST 4" Suspension Lift # CSK-D23-2 consists of a pair of CST 4" Lift Spindles, Rear Lift Blocks and extended length rear U-Bolts. As an option we also offer additional upgrades such as more performance oriented front and rear shock absorbers. For customers that want a little more than 4" inches of front lift we offer 1" and 2" Lift Coil Spring Spacers that can provide 5" or 6" of total front lift height. Please note that when the truck has been lifted 5" or 6" up front that additional rear lift will be required to achieve a level stance. We offer taller rear lift height options on this page as well.

CST now offers two different 4" Lift Spindles for the Ram 1500 2wd trucks. The only difference is the material type used to produce them. The CST # CSS-D1-1 Spindles are Fabricated in the USA using 1018 Sheet Steel and are stronger than the OEM parts they replace. The CSS-D1-5 Spindles are also built in the USA but are Cast Iron and slightly less expensive than the Fabricated Steel Version. Both of CST's 4" Lift spindles provide a major increase in ground clearance that gives the 2wd Ram 1500 more ground clearance than a same height lifted Ram 1500 4x4! Bot CST 4" lift spindles are designed to lift the vehicle an honest 4" inches in the front and retain a stock like ride. This kit by default includes the less expensive Cast Iron spindle, CSS-D1-5. As an option you can select the Fabricated Steel spindle # CSS-D1-1 using the selection box located near the ADD TO CART button.

This lift has been installed, tested, and successfully held an alignment with no installation or alignment issues typically found in some other lesser quality kits now on the market. Customers are also pleasantly surprised when they learn the truck rides as nice as it looks! This kit does NOT replace the coil springs and for this reason retains a very smooth and comfortable ride.

Ordering Information
This CST 4" Suspension Lift System includes a pair of CST Cast Iron 4" Lift Spindles, a pair of extended length braided stainless steel brake hoses, your choice of a 1", 1.5" or 2" Rear Lift Block Kit and the correct length U-bolts. When lifting the front suspension 4" inches over stock you may need either a 1" or 1.5" rear lift block kit to help achieve a level stance front to rear. Extended length rear shock absorbers are recommended when the rear of the truck will be lifted 2" inches or higher over stock height. Please note that front and rear shock absorbers are NOT included because in most cases the factory shocks can be reused.

Tire & Wheel Info:
This kit will not work with factory 17" wheels and larger than factory size tires. Aftermarket wheels with less back space than factory wheels are required. CST recommends using an 17" or larger diameter wheel that is 8" or 9" wide wheel with this kit. Wheel back space must not exceed 5.50" inches when running 17" or 18" diameter wheels. Customers running 20" or larger diameter wheels may use a wheel with up to 5.50" inches of back space. We do have customers using the factory 20" Dodge wheel and up to 305 series tires without a wheel spacer. Please be sure to check for sufficient clearance exists before driving the truck after the lift has been installed.

Dodge engineers have designed the front suspension on the Ram 1500 2wd trucks so that the front shock absorber prevents the front suspension from over-extending. For this reason if you decide to replace your factory shock it is important that the correct length front shock is used. The rear shock length we provide will be correct to work with the rear block lift height that you select. The Bilstein, CST, and Rancho RS5000 or RS9000XL shocks bolt right on with no additional modifications required to install. This kit will not fit Mega Cab 1500 or 2500 / 3500 series Ram trucks! Please note, this kit has been verified to fit all 2006, 2007 and 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd trucks.
