This CST CSS-C24-19 Extreme Duty Tie Rod Kit is designed to replace the wimpy and failure prone factory tie rod ends. If you own a GM Fullsize 2500HD or 3500 series Heavy Duty truck and you travel off-road you may already know how weak the factory tie rod ends are. The factory ends are a common failure point and when one breaks you lose steering control. When running the CST 8-10" lift and larger tires this is a very good upgrade. PerformanceLifts.com has witnessed assembly line vehicles on the trail with broken factory tie rod ends. Construction site workers with stock trucks on stock tires have broken their 2500HD tie rods on job sites. While the rest of the GM full-size trucks and SUV's are built pretty solid the weak leak up front is still the factory tie rods. Take a look at your stock tie rods and you'll agree, they are just undersized for the task!

This CST Extreme Duty Tie Rod is designed to fit all 2011 - 2023 and the revised 2020+ Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500 series trucks equipped with a CST 8" suspension lift. This CST part number CSS-C24-19 is the Generation III Tie Rod Kit and features an even larger and stronger main body. The CST Extreme Duty Tie Rods have been updated and now have a stainless steel main body that is Manganese Phosphate Coated to help reduce surface corrosion. This version offers additional range of motion over the stock GM tie rod ends which is a huge benefit for lifted truck owners. The main body of this Extreme Duty Tie Rod is almost 200% larger in circumference than the factory 1/2" diameter tie rod is. The inner tie rod design is significantly larger than the factory pieces too. CST designed their upgraded Extreme Duty Tie Rod kit to work with factory steering uprights (aka spindles or knuckles) and require no modifications to install. Simply remove your existing tie rod ends and install these using basic hand tools!
