This CST CSS-C29-8 aluminum skid plate is designed for use on 2007-2013 vehicles and replaces the factory plastic skid plate. This Skid Plate is compatible with stock vehicles and those equipped with the CST 4" Suspension Lift System. If your vehicle is equipped with another manufacturers subframe drop or bracket style suspension lift this CSS-C29-8 Skidplate may NOT fit. The CST # CSS-C29-8 has a raw aluminum finish. CST no longer offers this skid plate in the "mirror" polished finish. You will use the factory bolts to install this skid plate. CST does NOT include any installation hardware. This CST Aluminum Skid Plate # CSS-C29-8 is a direct fit replacement for the factory plastic front skid plate found on 2007-2013 Chevrolet and GMC 1500 series trucks and SUV's. The GM plastic skid plate is prone to cracking and this aluminum skid plate is a stronger and better looking solution. A lot of San Bernardino County Sheriff Tahoe vehicles are outfitted with this exact skid plate because it offers more protection than the factory plastic one does. When your plastic one breaks this is an excellent replacement and upgrade!
This skid plate can be installed on completely stock vehicles or those equipped with a CST 4" Subframe style suspension lift. It fits all 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Tahoe, Suburban 1500 and Avalanche 1500 models. It also fits 2007-2013 GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL 1500 vehicles. Please note that this item will NOT fit the 2014 or newer vehicles equipped with the electric Rack & Pinion steering.
